Anihan's program focuses on marginalized young women who come from five contiguous provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon (CALABARZON), the most densely populated provinces of the Philippines.
During their studies at Anihan, the young women gain knowledge, skills, and wholesome work attitudes, which open decent employment opportunities. As a result, they are able to contribute to the economic advancement of their underprivileged families and communities. The women are given skills training with qualifications needed for the Food Service Industry including on-the-job training. They eventually find employment with those same venues upon graduation. Examples of industry experience include training in tourism, hotel, and restaurant services. |
The Fisherman foundation scholarship
Through a partnership with Fisherman, 30 young women are provided the Fisherman Foundation scholarship to attend the Anihan Technical School and for their first year of schooling. The Fisherman Foundation is proud to sponsor these women and provide them with an opportunity to gain skills that would help them attain jobs and support their families.
